Conference on “Railways Vision – 2030”

INAE Conference on Railways Vision- 2030 was held on Feb 29-Mar 1, 2008 at INSA, New Delhi. The Conference was supported by Ministry of Railways, Government of India, International Union of Railways, Paris, I.I.T Delhi and IIT Kanpur. Shri VK Agarwal, Former Chairman, Railway Board and Prof CV Ramakrishnan, Department of Applied Mechanics, IIT Delhi were the Co Chairs of this event. The objective of the conference was to discuss and evolve possible technological directions for the Indian Railways to meet the challenges posed by infrastructural needs, societal requirements and global competition.
