CRITERIA FOR ELECTION TO THE FELLOWSHIP Fellow
Every person for election as a Fellow shall satisfy the Council that he/she fulfills the following criteria.
A Fellow is a person in Academics, R&D, Industry, who at the time of his/her election is an Indian citizen or is normally resident in India and who has made outstanding contributions to the profession of ‘Engineering’ and continues to be actively engaged in the field. The criterion for election to the Fellowship may be one or more of the following:
(a) Personal engineering achievements in research, design, consultancy and innovative development in technology and product design. (b) Recognition of exceptional merit and eminence in new and developing fields of technology. (c) National/international honours, awards and prizes. (d) Engineering management, managerial responsibility for technical and financial growth of industry or of government institutions; outstanding contributions in the growth of engineering education in the private or public sector. Foreign Fellow
A person for election as a Foreign Fellow, shall meet the above criterion excepting that he/she will be a citizen of a country other than India and not normally resident in India. Additional achievements which may merit election as a Foreign Fellow are :
(a) membership of an Engineering Body in his/her own country where such bodies similar to INAE exist (b) his/her record and interest should clearly demonstrate the contribution to the development of Indian Engineering and Technology |
